* We are pleased to offer the Access and Opportunity Rate to nonprofits and individuals who demonstrate a strong commitment to cultural education and community impact. This rate is designed to make our transformative program accessible while maintaining our mission of empowering students using a robust curriculum centered on cultural awareness and critical thinking.
The Access and Opportunity Rate is not a general discount or financial aid program—it is a mission-aligned cost adjustment reserved for applicants who qualify based on specific criteria. Cost adjustments range from 15-25 percent. Applicants must complete the AOR application and meet the minimum threshold outlined in our evaluation rubric, which assesses:
• Alignment with CIP’s mission and values
• Financial capacity and demonstrated need
• Commitment to full participation in the program
All eligible applications will be reviewed by our selection team and scored according to a standardized rubric.
Please note that meeting the criteria does not automatically guarantee a discount, as the number of available Access and Opportunity Rate slots is limited. All decisions will be made based on the strength of the application and supporting materials.
Applications are available upon request. To receive an application or ask questions about the process, please contact us at IKGCIP@gmail.com.
Note:
1. For in-person CIP sites, it is recommended that each site budget an additional $500-$1000 to be allocated for snacks/drinks and materials (e.g. writing utensils, markers, highlighters etc.).
2. In order to ensure that CIP staff are prepared to effectively implement their CIP site, facilitate monthly sessions, and to collect feedback, all CIP staff or designated site representatives will be required to participate in bimonthly meetings as indicated in the program timeline below.
